Supra footwear famous for it’s skate board design kicks have taken the Erik Ellington’s athletic-inspired signature mid top and stripped it down to the bare essentials for a streamlined design with classic board feel. The man him self explain in a few words
“What I wanted was my shoe on a vulcanized sole, and that’s what we did,” Ellington said. “Basically, everything about the way the Ellington was—the upper of it—I wanted to keep, so there was nothing that was really changed aside from the thickness of the padding and stuff like that. Everything was kept from the original.”
Ellington’s clean lines remain in a slimmed down version resting onto of a dual traction vulcanized sole design to improved traction and timeless style. Wellington made sure the excess padding in his kicks were all removed and a dual-density insole was instead implemented for added impact protection. Perforations at the quarter aid in ventilation while a lightly padded interior of Drilex mesh helps wick away moisture and keep your feet cool.
